Life and death support for the dying and the living

“The heart is forever inexperienced” – Henry David Thoreau

At no time does our inexperience appear more real than in the days of preparing for our own or another's death.

At these times Gloria offers you a place to talk, to cry and to laugh and to plan. As she has walked with others so she will walk with you. Inviting you to ask the unknown questions and speak the unthinkable thoughts.

Gloria will walk with you in this time of deep need, addressing your areas of deepest need. Some of these needs may be:

  • How to keep the network of support informed of changes in health
  • How to build a network of support
  • Developing a self care plan
  • Stengthening the saying yes and no skills and knowing when to say which
  • Offering a listening ear
  • Providing practical information and resources

Gloria will do home or hospital visits for persons who are in the last stages of life.

Fees for this work are negotiated.

During the difficult but blessed period that a circle of friends cared for our friend Jane who was nearing the end of her life, we needed a space to come to terms with this ending and new beginnings. We came to new places in understanding grief, and, the different roles we all played during the final walk with Jane. Gloria helped us create that space; it became, in essence, a circle of trust and vulnerability; a place for tears, even laughter, and moments of relief. Through her guidance and amazing ability to listen, to hear, to gently help us to move us to new places, both before and after Jane's death, we were able to learn more about our friend Jane, to open to our fears, and trust our relationships with one another.
